Biography:

John E. Stang is a Kansas native who earned his J.D. from the Washburn University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas. He was admitted to practice law in 1988 and has maintained an active criminal practice since that time. In addition to being licensed in both the Federal and State courts of Kansas, he is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is an active member in the Wichita Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National College for DUI Defense and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Stang also lectures both in Kansas and out of Kansas on the defense of persons accused of crimes. He is also a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel representing indigent persons accused of criminal conduct in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. Mr. Stang has also spoken before the Wichita Bar Association, at the Washburn University, the Wichita Intervention Program, KTLA, KBA and the Kansas Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers.
